Fair Lawn is a borough in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2020 United States Census, the borough's population was 33,074. Fair Lawn was incorporated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 6, 1924, as "Fairlawn," from portions of Saddle River Township.

The borough's history can be traced back to the 18th century. The area was originally inhabited by the Lenni Lenape Native Americans. In the early 1700s, Dutch and English settlers began purchasing land in the vicinity of Fair Lawn. The new immigrants turned the region into a prosperous farming community.

As of the 2020 Census, there were 33,074 people living in Fair Lawn. The racial makeup of the borough was 76.93% White, 4.38% Black or African American, 0.11% Native American, 13.81% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 2.12% from other races, and 2.62% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino people of any race made up 9.65% of the population.

The Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms

The Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms is a historic site that was once the home of noted furniture maker Gustav Stickley. Visitors can tour Stickley's former estate and workshops. The museum features Stickley's famous Craftsman furniture along with exhibitions on architecture and interior design.

Historic Fair Lawn Train Station

The Historic Fair Lawn Train Station is located in the center of town. It was originally built in 1891 and served the New York, Susquehanna and Western Railway. The Victorian style station has been restored and now houses a museum about Fair Lawn's railroad history.

Memorial Park

Memorial Park is Fair Lawn's largest municipal park located on Route 208 South. The park features athletic fields, playgrounds, walking paths, and the site of the borough's 9/11 Memorial.

Transportation

Fair Lawn is served by the Radburn train station, providing service on NJ Transit's Bergen County Line. The train offers direct service to Hoboken Terminal and New York Penn Station.
