Clinton is a city located in Lenawee County in the state of Michigan. As of the 2020 census, the population of Clinton was 2,114 residents, making it one of the larger towns in Lenawee County.

History of Clinton

Clinton was first settled in 1832 and was originally called Morven. In 1837, the name was changed to DeWitt in honor of DeWitt Clinton, who was the governor of New York and U.S. Senator. The town was incorporated as a village in 1877.
