Menomonee Falls is a village in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 35,626 at the 2010 census, making it the most populous village in Wisconsin. It is part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. According to the village's 2018 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, the population had grown to an estimated 37,328.

Menomonee Falls is located at 43°09′42′′N 88°06′26′′W (43.161813, -88.10725). It is bordered to the north by Lannon, to the east by Germantown, and to the south and west by portions of Milwaukee County.

History

The Menomonee Falls area was originally inhabited by Native American tribes, including the Menominee tribe, which the town is named after. The first white settler was William B. Perkins, who built a trading post in the area in 1836. By 1885, the arrival of the railroad caused the town's population to boom. In 1892, it separated from the town of Lisbon and incorporated as a village.
