Bothell is a city located in King and Snohomish counties in the U.S. state of Washington. According to the Wikipedia page for Bothell, the 2020 census put the population at 51,285, making it the 16th largest city in Washington.

History

Bothell was founded in 1885 by George Brackett. He bought land and built a lumber camp along the Sammamish River to provide lumber for the construction of Seattle. The town was originally named Bothel after the Norwegian town that Brackett's wife was from. In 1891, the town had a post office and approximately 1000 residents.
