Auburn is a city in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 70,180 at the 2010 United States Census. Auburn is a suburb in the Seattle metropolitan area.

History

Auburn was settled by homesteaders in the 1870s. By the 1880s, the Northern Pacific Railroad subsidiary the Seattle, Lake Shore and Eastern Railway, had built a railway through the town.
