Bountiful is a city in Davis County, Utah, United States. As of the 2020 census, the city's population was 43,941, making it the largest city in Davis County. Bountiful is part of the Ogden–Clearfield metropolitan area.

Located on the east bench of the Wasatch Range, Bountiful was settled in 1847. It was known as both Sessions Settlement and Lakeview Settlement before being named Bountiful in 1855. It was incorporated as a city in 1892.

History

Bountiful was settled on September 27, 1847, by Perrigrine Sessions and his family. It was Utah's second settlement after Salt Lake City. It was known as both Sessions Settlement and Lakeview Settlement before being named Bountiful in 1855.

Most of Main Street was built in this early time period, with architectural styles varying from Greek Revival to Victorian. Homes and buildings from this era can still be seen throughout the city.

Bountiful was incorporated as a city in 1892 with Joseph L Holbrook as mayor.
