Cortlandt is a town in Westchester County, New York with a population of 41,592 as of the 2010 census. The town is located on the eastern shore of the Hudson River, about 30 miles north of New York City.

History

Cortlandt has a long history dating back to the 17th century when it was part of the Colonial Manor of Philipsburg granted to Frederic Philipse.
