Worth is a village located in Cook County, Illinois just outside Chicago. According to the 2020 Census, Worth has a population of 10,764 residents.

History

Worth was first settled in the 1830s by farmers and originally called Ridgeville. In 1909, the name was changed to Worth in honor of General William Worth who served in the Mexican-American and Seminole Wars. The village was incorporated in 1917.
