Cunningham is a village located in Champaign County, Illinois. According to the 2010 census, Cunningham has a population of 199 people. Despite its small size, Cunningham has a rich history and several interesting attractions for visitors.

History

Cunningham was originally called Wolf Point when it was founded in the 1850s. The village was renamed Cunningham in honor of James Cunningham, a county sheriff. Early settlers were attracted to the area because of the forests and fertile soil. The main industries in the early days of Cunningham were lumber and agriculture.
