History of The Acreage

The Acreage was founded in the 1960s as a planned semi-rural community for equestrian estates. The area saw significant growth in the 1990s and 2000s as many new homes and developments were built. The Acreage got its name from the fact that most original properties were 1-10 acres in size, allowing residents to have farms or raise horses.
