San Dimas is a city located in the San Gabriel Valley region of Los Angeles County, California. As of the 2020 census, the population of San Dimas was 34,283. The city is known for its historical Western theme, equestrian trails, citrus groves, and scenic views of the San Gabriel Mountains.

History

The area was originally inhabited by the Tongva Native Americans. In 1837, the Mexican land grant for Rancho San Jose was issued, which included modern-day San Dimas. The city was named after San Dismas Canyon in the area, which was named by Spanish explorer Lieutenant Pedro Fages in 1770. San Dismas refers to Saint Dismas, the Penitent Thief crucified with Jesus Christ. In 1960, San Dimas officially incorporated as a city. Puddingstone Lake

Puddingstone Lake is a manmade lake located in Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park. It offers swimming, fishing, water skiing, and pedal boating activities. The address is:
