History [1]

Rogers was founded in 1881 when the St. Louis–San Francisco Railway came through the area. It was named after Captain Charles Warrington Rogers, who was vice-president and general manager of the railway. The city was officially incorporated in June 1881.

The railroad brought new opportunities for growth and commerce.
