Clarkstown is a town in Rockland County, New York, United States. As of the 2020 census, the town had a total population of 96,326. Clarkstown is located northwest of the county seat of New City and is adjacent to the west side of the Hudson River.

There were 32,412 households, out of which 34.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them. 60.8% were married couples living together, 9.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.6% were non-families. 22.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.72 and the average family size was 3.22.
In terms of age breakdown, 24.7% of residents were under the age of 18; 7.5% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 24.1% were from 25 to 44; 29.4% were from 45 to 64; and 14.3% were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 41.1 years.
