According to the 2020 census, O’Fallon had a population of 93,126 people. This was a significant increase from the 2010 census when the population was 79,329. O’Fallon has seen rapid population growth in recent decades as the city expands. In 1990, the population was only 27,882.

The racial makeup of O’Fallon is predominantly white. The 2020 census showed the population was 78.8% White, 11.6% African American, 4.6% Asian, 0.2% Native American, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 1.8% from other races, and 2.9% from two or more races. 4.3% of the population identified as Hispanic or Latino.
